Thank you for your request dated December 21, 2022, under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. You requested all the DOST-PCHRD policies addressing overweight and obesity in children.

The Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD), one of the sectoral councils of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), is mandated to: (1) formulate policies, plans, programs, project, and strategies for health S&T development; (2) program and allocate government and external funds for research and development (R&D); (3) monitor R&D projects; and (4) generate external funds.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, we regret that our office does not have policy recommendations regarding overweight and obesity in children. However, we referred your request to the Department of Science and Technology - Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI), as they have inputs on overweight and obesity policies.
