I would like to request the data regarding the forest cover as of May 2022 of negros occidental and other related forest information available.

Dear Kenneth Villarosa,

I refer to my letter of May 31, 2022 09:04:41 AM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Forest Cover Information of Negros Occidental.

In order for us to work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query. The official data that we have right now is as of 2015. Forest cover data is officially generated by the National Mapping and Resource Information Authority. However,  the official forest cover data as of 2020 is not yet released. Please let us know if you are willing to receive 2015 data. Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated May 31, 2022 09:04:41 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your request

You asked for Forest Cover Information of Negros Occidental.

Response to your request

On June 01, 2022, Our Office sent an email clarifying your willingness to receive 2015 Forest cover data which was the only data available at the time of your request. Just recently, we received forest cover data from NAMRIA regarding forest cover as of 2020. Should you be willing to accept that data, may we request you to resubmit your request through our Bureau's portal .

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to ATTY. ERNESTO D. ADOBO JR. Officer in Charge, DENR.  Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
