- Machineries and Processes for Textile/Garment Manufacturing
The textile and garment manufacturing industry in the Philippines commonly employs the following machines and processes:
i) Spinning: Ring Spinning Machines, Open-End Spinning Machines
ii) Weaving: Air-Jet Looms, Rapier Looms, Shuttle Looms
iii) Knitting: Circular Knitting Machines, Flatbed Knitting Machines
iv) Dyeing and Finishing: Jet Dyeing Machines, Stenter Machines, Sanforizing Machines
v) Sewing and Garment Construction: Overlock Machines, Flatlock Machines, Single-Needle Lockstitch Machines
- Machineries and Processes for Textile Recycling
In the Philippines, textile recycling is still emerging, we have an ongoing project on mechanical recycling of postindustrial waste and initiatives utilizes:
i) Shredding Machines: For breaking down textiles into fiber.
ii) Opening Machines: To loosen and clean recycled fibers.
iii) Carding Machines: To realign fibers for reuse.
iv) Nonwoven Machines: For creating recycled textile-based products
v) Spinning Machine to convert if back to new yarns
- Sample Floor Plans
Currently, specific floor plans or layouts for textile recycling and manufacturing facilities are not yet available and we do not have yet a model facility applicable in the Philippine setting that is publicly available through our records. However, best practices in facility design often include:
i) Segregated areas for material sorting, processing, and storage.
ii) Workflow optimization for raw material intake, recycling, and finished product output.
iii) Provisions for environmental compliance, such as waste management systems and ventilation.
