Hi Good Day! I would like to request the following information: 1. Statistics of Natural Fiber Farmers 2. Statistics of Natural Fiber Weavers 3. Number of Fiber Centers in Panay Island 4. Organizational Chart for the Production of the Following FIbers: a. abaca b. piña c. jusi d. and the remaining 4 commercial fibers (as per PhilFIDA's Fiber Statistics) if available

December 16, 2020 Dear Gwendolyn, Thank you for your request dated Jan 17, 2020 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Philippine Natural Fibers. 1. Out of the 131,451 natural fibercrop farmers in the country, 124, 063 are involved in abaca fiber production. 2. The agency is still currently gathering data on the total number of weavers throughout the country. 3. These are the locations of the PhilFIDA-funded weaving and processing centers in Panay Island: a. Pandan, Antique b. Patnongon, Antique c. Bugasong, Antique d. Tibiao, Antiquie e. Miagiao, Iloilo f. Pina Processing Center in Balete, Aklan 4. For fibercrop production technology, please refer to our website http://www.philfida.da.gov.ph/index.php/2016-11-10-03-32-59/2016-11-11-07-56-14/technoguides for copies of fibercrop technoguides.
